Went to a wedding at my church with friends yesterday. It was a lovely, simple ceremony, and the reception was very nice; lots of great food. Today, I went to church, spent way too much time on TV Tropes, and right now I'm just chilling out waiting to watch Cold Case. So, how was your weekend?

Can't believe this month is almost over. It seems like New Year's Day was just last week, doesn't it?  Of course, I have been pretty busy between church, volunteer work, and looking for a job(yeah, I'd gotten laid off last year). Wonder what Feburary wll bring.

I love this time of year. The weather is cooler, there are new episodes of my favorite shows, and, of course, the hoildays are not too far off. I love different things about every season, but autumn is definitely my favorite one.

Had to work today, so I didn't get to go out and do anything fun. :-( Guess it's just as well, 'cause it's a little cloudy and drizzly out. Wow, can't believe it's September already.

Didn't get to take my road test; right now there isn't a car I can use. The plan was to drive the instructor's car, but it broke down.  Last time I called him, he said he' d gotten another one. I'll check back with him later this week.

I've completed my driver's course just this past Sunday. So, now comes the road test for my license, which will be sometime next week.
*is excited, but still a little nervous*

I've been doing well in my defensive driving course(I wasn't half as scared as I thought I'd be), although the instructor told me I'll need an extra session or two 'cause my parallel parking and lane changes need work. Hopefully I'll have my license before summer ends.

Okay, here's a confession: I'm in my late thirties and I still don't have a driver's license; I've never gotten around to taking my road test. It's partly because I didn't have a lot of opportunity to practice, but mostly I was just too nervous and afraid. So, I'll be taking a defensive driving course this afternoon. I had a weekend off, which doesn't happen a lot. On Saturday, I saw Wolverine, and it was pretty awesome.  On Sunday, I attended church. It was nice catching up with my friends; since I have to work on Sundays, I hardly ever get to see them. :-(
And so, another week begins....

Last week, my brother and I finally got around to seeing Watchmen, and though the violence was a little much(I mean, I expected it to be a bit graphic, but woah), we really enjoyed it. I kinda want to read the book now.
